Although co-signed by members of the local bomb squad (Guess & Mer), I still think the pizza at the joint above Cabin sucked… However, the party down below was slightly more entertaining this week. Granted it was at 3:15 when we rolled back in. The countless drinks at Bowery and goblets of rosé at gilligans perhaps set the mood for a much more breezy lean. Heart Brake Crew was in full effect!!! Haaaaaz

About 6 months ago I was out with a  japanese client of mine who was in town. We finished dinner and I was thinking we would hit one of the usual haunts afterwards. He suggested that we go to a “piano” bar. I had heard of these japanese hostess bars before, but for whatever reason it never struck me as something particularly fun or desirable.  Big deal.  Sitting around talking to some japanese chick in broken english about nothing. Right? Wrong.

That Slice of Pizza Blew…

…Fortunately the subterranean Bar/Lounge hidden below made up for the culinary shortcomings of the upstairs pizza parlour.  Jammed with pretty people and familiar faces from the Beatrice Inn days the vibes were def right.  The drinks were relatively cheap for that kinda spot. The women were hot and very approachable in the “you must be someone if your here” kind of way.  Models, stylists, rich girls…..exactly what you would expect in a cloak and dagger exclusive type joint like Cabin. Outdoor smoking alley was also a really fresh feature.  It was unchaperoned so burning weed would be all good.

Clearly this is not the aforementioned pizza joint.... like I was gonna tell you where it was... pause

My Roll Dog…

The Canon G10 is a wonderful piece of machinery.  Its probably the best thing your money can actually buy.  Beyond the whopping 14 megapixel resolution, this little guy has a myriad of shooting modes and gets gully in low light.  Ok the sensor isnt that large…. Big fucking deal!!!  Its an absolutely portable and versatile camera that I take almost everywhere I go.  The ease of use can turn any lame-o into a shutterbug in no time…
