So the other night we were wilding at an undisclosed location (Really? , you were?) and I found a blackberry…..

I instantly felt bad for the poor sod who’s life was in my hands. Not in the way that you would think. More so in the “I know the feeling, it sucks” kinda way. The smart girl that she was, she had all of her contact info on the front page rgdlss of whether it was locked or open.

The rendezvous/handoff was an incredible moment, Cinematic in fact.  Something out of an Alex Turner song.  Suspense, anxiety, monsoon rains, yellow cabs, and purple NB’s were all part of the scene. Let me not forget the ethnically ambiguous body guard/muscle type figure who frankly looked softer than a grape.

She was younger and hotter than I had expected, I guess this was part of the reason that I declined her reward money (just kidding…… wait, am I?). The roll up was awk because she seemed in between a hand shake and a hug. I don’t generally hug or kiss strangers unless its between the hours of 1:30 am and 5:00, so I initiated the handshake, declined the bread and kept it moving.

The saturday to the wednesday:

I was hot, late and flustered. Walked into rugby to get something to wear to sasha’s 30 (illest ever, ask somebody). Timecheck? Fuck, blackberry gone, mistaken for pack of mediums in my pocket and left under a piece of paper at murray’s bagels. Under normal circumstances I might have said fuck it, but this would have been the second lost phone this month. Sooo I did the yussain bolt back to the bagel store to be warmly greeted by a cute UES looking chick and her mom who seemed terribly concerned about me and had already made plans w/a friend to return my phone.

Be nice, return phones, hold doors, recycle when possible, and the sun will shine on you.

Amazing it is that once brick like cell phones have grown up to be sleek micro computers with built in cameras (No I have not been in a cave, I was just resisting progress for as long as i could). Although they have gotten much better it is a given that they are inferior and should never be used as a substitution for a real camera. But sometimes that camera phone comes in handy. More often than not the function is to capture a moment, like a freeze frame memento status  where resolution color and clarity don’t matter.  In other instances, if ur lucky u just might bag a good flick…

The Canon G10 is a wonderful piece of machinery.  Its probably the best thing your money can actually buy.  Beyond the whopping 14 megapixel resolution, this little guy has a myriad of shooting modes and gets gully in low light.  Ok the sensor isnt that large…. Big fucking deal!!!  Its an absolutely portable and versatile camera that I take almost everywhere I go.  The ease of use can turn any lame-o into a shutterbug in no time…
